Lumen Skin Clinic

Skin, read in daylight.

A skin clinic on the first floor of a Georgian house in Marylebone. We look at your skin by the window before we suggest anything, treat it in courses, and write everything down.

Book a consultation

£40

Ask us on WhatsApp

We take the £40 off your first treatment. No injectables, no fillers, nothing medical.

By the window, before the lamp goes on.

Every course starts with a consultation.

Forty-five minutes, £40, and we take the £40 off your first treatment.

I

By the window

We look at your skin in daylight first, before the lamp goes on. Come without make-up if you can; if you can’t, we have cleanser.

II

Talking it through

What you use now, what you’ve tried, what bothers you, and what’s realistic.

III

Under the lamp

A closer look at texture, pores, pigment and redness.

IV

A plan, in writing

What we’d suggest, in what order, what it costs, and what to do at home. You take it away and decide. If we think you don’t need us, we’ll tell you.

45 minutes

Three for £320

Microneedling

75 minutes, with numbing time

A pen with very fine needles makes tiny channels in the skin’s surface. For texture, enlarged pores and acne marks.

£230

Three for £600

LED light therapy

30 minutes

Twenty minutes under a panel of red or blue light: red for skin that feels tired or sensitised, blue for skin prone to breakouts. Or add it to any treatment for £30.

£55

Three for £145

Prices from January 2026. A course is three of the same treatment; peels and microneedling are four weeks apart.

Twelve weeks, for skin that needs a plan.

Some skin needs more than a treatment. Each programme is three visits, four weeks apart, a routine for home, and us in between.

Pigmentation

£620

Twelve weeks, three visits

Aftercare, in writing.

Every treatment goes home with its aftercare written down, so you never have to remember what we said.

After a chemical peel

Your skin may feel tight and flake for a few days. No scrubs, retinol or acids for a week, SPF every day, and no sauna or hot yoga for 48 hours.

After microneedling

Your skin will be pink for a day or two. No make-up for 24 hours, nothing that makes you sweat, and the balm we give you.

After LED light therapy

Nothing to avoid afterwards.

After a hydrating facial

No exfoliating for 48 hours.

Before you come

Come without make-up if you can. If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding or using prescription skin medicine, tell us when you book: some treatments have to wait.

What to buy

We’d rather you didn’t buy a product at every visit. If your skin needs something at home, we write down the ingredient to look for. It’s often something you already own.

Two days after a peel

How’s your skin today? If anything worries you, send us a photo.

We message everyone two days after a treatment, and you can send us a photo whenever you’re unsure.

“I know what it is to cancel plans because of your skin.”

Esi Mensah had acne from fourteen until her late twenties. She trained as a beauty therapist, then spent nine years in the treatment rooms of a dermatology-led clinic in the West End, taking advanced qualifications in chemical peels, microneedling and LED light therapy. She opened Lumen in March 2019.

Holly Brennan joined in 2022. She does most of our facials and LED sessions, and works Saturdays.

Not doctors

We don’t inject anything, and we don’t do anything medical. If we see something a doctor should look at, we’ll say so and suggest you see your GP.

Every skin tone

We take particular care with darker skin, which can mark after inflammation.

“The first person to look at my skin in daylight and tell me the truth. No hard sell, and a plan I could actually follow.”

Priya, Kentish Town

“I came in wanting microneedling and left with a cheaper plan and a sunscreen I actually wear.”
